GILA is home to some of the most qualified teachers in the country, all of whom are experts in their field. Class sizes are small and well-equipped with all a student or teacher would need.

The campus grounds surrounding the buildings are lush and green, with a large fountain and picnic benches for students to sit around and do work or just hang out.

A very authentic tapas-style Spanish restaurant. It's a little bit pricey, but well worth it for it's large selection of Spanish wine and gourmet food. Great for dates and celebrations.

An extremely high-end clothing store, which stocks garments by designers from all over the world, from big names like Marc Jacobs and Betsey Johnson, to lesser known brands from emerging designers.

An apartment complex of low-income housing for the less wealthy citizens of Gila. Owned by a French Canadian family who are rarely in America to check on the building.

A small cafe owned and operated by a local collective of artists, musicians, writers, and other creative types. As a result, the interior of the cafe has a grungy sort of psychedelic feel to it, with lots of colors and works from local artists. There are also regular poetry jams and acoustic shows, to compliment the all-organic selection of teas, coffees, pastries, and small wine and beer selection.

A flea-market with different vendors selling everything from vintage clothes to home-made chocolate to hand-drawn illustrations.

A dive bar in the style of the NYC punk clubs. With a small stage with no railing, perfectly conducive to stage dives, the club tends to draw a more alternative crowd than some of the other bars in the area. When there's not a show going on, it's still a nice, dim place to grab a cheap beer.

Actually just a big house owned by a recently graduated GILA student, Franz Bohem, who throws big parties and concerts all the time, with open invite. Fun indie, folk, and art bands can always be heard playing at his house. Unfortunately, the cops have a tendency to show up because of the noise and the fact that he never bothers to card anyone before giving them drinks.
